AN ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT TO REDUCE OUR IMPACT
ENVIRONMENTALLY- FRIENDLY PACKAGING
La Roche-Posay is committed to using as minimal packaging as possible for its products.
In 2016 alone, the brand used 23.5 tons of PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) materials in glass bottles and plastic tubes. 0% of the packaging contains PVC plastic.
The brand also radically redesigned on of its iconic products, Lipikar Balm AP+ tube, to make it lighter without adversely affecting its function. By eliminating the need for a tube head and thus removing one packing component La Roche-Posay not only made the tube easier to use, it also reduced its weight from 24 to 15.6 grams. This significant weight reduction translated into 35% less plastic packaging representing 31 tons of plastic saved per year. By contributing to the sustainability of the environment in this way, La Roche-Posay was awarded the 2012 prize for packaging reduction and innovation by the French recycling bodies Eco-Emballages and Adelphe.
La Roche-Posay has also started to use less paper in its packaging by removing leaflets.
This focus remains at the heart of all our product development efforts.
