PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY AND HIGH TEAM STANDARDS When high team standards are in place, the whole team is in the learning zone where collaboration and learning are a high priority. The leader and team members challenge and encourage one another to perform, and each person takes accountability for this. This helps drive performance and innovation individually and as a team.

In psychologically safe workplaces, people know they might get things wrong, make mistakes, and even fail, but this does not stop them from trying new things, challenging, and speaking up. In fact, their team leaders encourage them to do this, even if sometimes this produces productive conflict when people challenge the way things are currently done.

Question I work in a hybrid team. Is it still possible to build

psychological safety when we are not all working in

one place together?

Question I work in lots of teams and they are not always stable

or static. Does this still apply?
