WHAT S NEXT? ACTIONS AND TOOLS Now that you know about psychological safety and how to create an environment where it can flourish, it s time to take action to make this a reality for you and your team.

Create a Psychological Safety Personal Action Plan for how you might role model psychological safety for your team. Think of the I wills and the I won ts. For example:

I will ask more questions

I will say when I don t know something

I will offer ideas even if they are not fully formed

I won t worry so much about

getting it wrong and give it a go

ACTION

I will challenge and offer an alternative

view

I will talk about the

mistakes I have made and what I

have learned from them

I won t stay silent for fear

of getting something

wrong

I won t say I know when

I don t

I won t play it safe: I will take

a smart risk now and then

I will try something new, out of my comfort

zone
