Delegation What About?

What is the culture like in your part of the organisation? How, or even if we delegate can help to set the meter for this.

People use many excuses not to delegate, and these reasons are usually unfounded. You will achieve more through delegation if you assume the OPPOSITE if each statement is true:

l I could do it better myself l I don t know if I can trust them to do it l They are qualified to do it l They don t want added responsibility l I don t have the time to show anyone how to do this l There is no one to delegate to l They already have enough to do l I don t want to give up this task because I have enough to do l I am the only person who knows how to do this l They messed up last time so I am not giving them it again.

By not delegating at all, you are preventing growth within your area and making a lot of work for yourself.
